Zōjō-ji Temple, renowned as the head temple of the Jōdo sect in the Kanto region and as the family temple of the Tokugawa shoguns , offers a precious moment to touch the spirit of Zen through prayer services and sutra copying experiences within the normally off-limits Ankoku-den Hall. During your stroll through the temple grounds, enjoy scenic photo opportunities with the main hall and Tokyo Tower as your backdrop.

At this Japanese restaurant, which was the setting for the "izakaya meeting" between former US President Bush and former Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi and served as the model for a scene in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill," you can enjoy the sake introduced to you along with Japanese cuisine to your heart's content.
