Initiatives for Safety and Security in Preparation for Disasters

Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba has taken various steps to ensure the peace of mind of its guests during their stay, including securing and managing stockpiles in preparation for natural disasters such as large-scale earthquakes, and conducting regular self-defense fire drills in which firefighting and evacuation guidance are provided in the event of a fire.
◆ Securing and managing stockpiles in the event of a disaster
The Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba is an earthquake-resistant building, so you can evacuate and wait inside the hotel.
In addition, we have secured and are managing a stockpile of emergency rations and other supplies for approximately three days in case of a disaster.

◆ Conduct periodic self-defense fire drills

We have a disaster prevention manual in place in case of emergency, and conduct self-defense fire drills seven times a year in the event of a fire, to ensure that our guests are able to evacuate to a safe place quickly.

In the event of a fire, the hotel staff organizes a self-defense firefighting team that performs such activities as initial firefighting, evacuation guidance, and notification and communication until the arrival of the fire brigade, and participates in a self-defense firefighting review board that examines its firefighting capabilities.

In the event of an emergency, evacuation can be guided by emergency stairs from two directions (east and west).
Emergency exit locations are also indicated on the inside of guest room doors.
The emergency exit signs are also displayed on the inside of the room doors.

Through these efforts, we hope to provide our guests with a safe and comfortable stay.
